3/8 - 3/14
Alright, either mother nature hates us or we live in a geographical area of the world that doesn't believe in SPRING!!! Whatever the case we didn't let the conditions get us down, we had a great turnout on Saturday for a wet but wonderful group run. It rained for for 98% of the run but we pushed on. It was wet but thankfully you can't get wetter than wet (think about it).
Couple of items for this week.
We were pleasantly supprised to find out that we are listed on a website, www.runningintheusa.com
We were contacted by someone who is interested in joining us and found our site on this site. We want to take a moment to thank this website for having us listed as well as add them to our links page. This site has a lot of good information and worth checking out.
Also we are still looking for people to join the “Great River Run” team. We are very serious in getting a team together to participate in this event. If you are interested in participating on the team contact us through the e-mail link over to the left. If you want to check out the race information you can look at the website at www.ragnarrelay.com The first deadline to get a registration in is 3/31 and they are only accepting 300 teams. From what we have found out it will fill up so we need to get our registration in as soon as possible. How much more fun can you have in 24 hours than to eat, drink and run with some of your closest friends.
Hope to see everyone on Tue or Sat.
Have a great week.

Tip of the Week
The motivation, encouragement and friendly competition from running with a group can do wonders for your performance.
Monthly Motivation
As some of you know Paul Gionfriddo completed his 100th marathon right here at the Lakefront Marathon in Milwaukee, WI. Paul has also run 50 marathons in 50 states. Paul is 81 years old and started running when he was 60. If this isn't motivation we don't know what is.
Quotable Runner
"To spice up my routine, I do 'destination runs.' I'll run someplace I've never been -- down an unexplored road or in a completely different town. I don't check the mileage; I just enjoy the change of scenery."
-- Kate O'Neill (first American at '07 Chicago marathon)
